Hiking and Exploring in Tremont

We went on an adventure to Tremont to explore, hike, play and hunt for Autumn Coralroot. Taking four grandchildren ranging in age from 3 to 9 was an adventure in itself! Lily found the coralroot first!

Plus we found more beautiful flowers.

Along the way, we found a great view of Lynn Prong Cascade, a series of smooth, exposed rocks with carved trenches to allow the water to shoot down the mountain.

Red cardinal flower invited investigating...
 and posing

...or providing cover for two Jedi warriors.

Grandmama was surrounded by some very playful characters!

After the hiking excursion, we headed for the swimming hole for our picnic and afternoon in the river.

Rock hopping…

Rock skipping…

Just chillin' and relaxin'.

Just below the swimming hole we found a mountain garden.

All too soon we had to say good-bye to our adventure.
